Andy The Anh for Lole

Andy The Anh, a Vietnamese-Canadian fashion designer based in Montreal, has been appointed as chief designer for lifestyle/active wear brand Lole. This is a drastic move for the designer as he is well known for his exquisite cocktail dresses and gowns.

This is hopefully a good move for Andy The Anh, as his business went down late 2010; after his financial backers pulled out, and he had to close down one of his freestanding stores in Yorkville. I personally believe that the active wear market is open, as the main competitor is Lululemon, along with other brands such as Nike and Adidas trying to win over the spot as people's choice for fitness and yoga wear. Lole's pieces range up to $400 (yikes!) and mostly consist of yoga pants and tunics.

Yours truly,
