Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2011 Collection

Oh Alexander McQueen, how I love thee. The designer brand's creative director Sarah Burton has done it again in the 2011 pre-fall collection. Before Burton' reign as head designer, the late (Lee) Alexander McQueen was known for his sharp tailoring (I LOVE his jackets) and masculine cuts in the Woman's ready-to-wear line.
Burton's knowledge and expertise has given the design house a more soft and feminine edge. The 2011 pre-fall collection gives a feel of military chic, as gold detailing can be seen on this collection's pieces. Fall is usually known to have more basic black and white staples, but this year will be different, as bright colours will stream through from Spring/Summer into Fall. With this collection, you can clearly see splashes of red, pink and navy blue. Here are some of my favouite looks from this collection:
