The MET Costume Institute Gala 2011: Models

Constance Jablonski and Liu Wen in Alexander McQueen

The MET Costume Institute Gala was held last week and the theme was Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty in honour of the late designer who committed suicide last year. All of the celebrities, models, and top fashion figures attended the event in full style and there was no disappointment. Although there were many celebrities featured as best dressed during the night on various websites, I would like to pay tribute to the beautiful models who also attended.
Models are known to be the perfect body for displaying designer clothing, and in my opinion, they are also very  hardworking. They are often spotted by agents at a very young age, and then placed into an industry that is very demanding, and for some, very corrupting. Needless to say, I do admire all the models who work for top fashion design houses, as they have made a name for themselves through their character and beauty that they present; whether it be on the runway or in an editorial. Fashion is not considered fashion if there are no models. Here are a list of the beautiful models that attended the extravagant gala last week:

Shalom Harlow in Marchesa

Raquel Zimmermann in Alexander McQueen

Naomi Campbell in Alexander McQueen

Natalia Vodianova in Valentino

Lily Donaldson in Erdem

Rosie Huntington-Whitely in Burberry Prorsum

Miranda Kerr in Marchesa

Jessica Stam in Tommy Hilfiger

 Lily Alridge in Ralph Lauren

Crystal Renn in Zac Posen

Natasha Poly in Alexander Wang

Chanel Iman in Dolce and Gabbana

 Coco Rocha in Alexander McQueen

Gisele Bundchan in Alexander McQueen
