A Beaded Gem

Last night was an important night for Canada, as the 2011 Juno Awards were held in Toronto. It was a very special event since the Junos was celebrating their 40th Anniversary. Can you say "Oh, Canada!" My pick for the most memorable dress that evening would have to go to Canadian country songstress Shania Twain, who happened to be the 2011 inductee to the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. What an honour!
 Twain looked very elegant in diamond drop earrings and a floor length black and white beaded number by Zuhair Murad who is a  Beirut-based Lebanese fashion designer. It's interesting to see that she didn't pick a Canadian designer as her dress for a Canadian event. Mind you, LG Fashion Week is this week as well, so supporting a fellow Canuk fashion designer would've been crucial. Oh well, if you're a huge star, that doesn't matter, right? Nonetheless, Shania looked absolutely radiant for a woman in her 40's! Way to go!
