Most famous for hosting and judging Canada's Next Top Model, Canadian Jay Manuel announced on his blog that he has been appointed as Creative Director of Sears private label collection called ATTITUDE. It seems to be the norm these days that hosts and television peronalities being their own fashion labels (Jeanne Becker of Fashion Television to name one). This is a bold move for Manuel as he stated that he has been working on this for a year!
Unlike other celebrities who just only add their name on a clothing line to make loads of money, Jay Manuel will be overseeing all facets of the line, including product development, design, fit, in-store retail and marketing. Not only will it be a clothing collection, ATTITUDE will also include shoes, handbags and accessories. How exciting! Jay's F/W 2011 will be featured at LG Fashion Week on Wednesday March 30, 2011 @ 8:30pm, so don't miss it! New ATTITUDE collections will be released twice yearly. Jay has also announced that he will try to push the clothing line into the US, so it will be interesting to see how that will turn out! I truly applaud Jay Manuel for his hard work and determination, and not to mention, keeping his roots as a Canadian. I can't wait to see his new collection! Expect ATTITUDE Jay Manuel to hit Sears department stores across Canada soon.
