Earlier this year, famous fashion designer John Galliano infamously made some racist comments, which ultimatly led to his demise as Christian Dior's Head Designer and Creative Director. So, you must be wondering what is Mr. Galliano up to these days after his dismissal of the luxury fashion house? Read on to find out!
One thing is for sure: John Galliano hasn't been hired for any lucrative positions; but a job is better than no job, right? Recently the ex-Dior employee has been appointed as Chief Designer for the 'George' clothing line by British supermarket Asda. Galliano's job will be revamping up the brand by making capsule collections John, Paul and Ringo. The collections are said to be reworks of his signature pieces. Rumour has it that Galliano has rummaged through 20 years worth of archives to create the new collections, as he wants to stay true to his 'John Galliano' brand. John Galliano for Asda will debut April 1st, 2012 in stores and online. The Asda 'George' brand is currently sold in Walmart locations across Canada.
